Macallan has added another extraordinary whisky to its Red Collection that is sure to delight collectors and whisky aficionados alike. What is the Macallan Red Collection?

The signature red colour represents the importance that red has played throughout the distillery’s history. Red is a colour of distinction, with only the very best whiskies being selected from The Macallan’s collection for the red label.

What makes this expression so special?

Personally chosen by Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, this ‘new make’ spirit was produced in The Macallan’s trademark Curiously Small stills and matured for 77 years in hand-picked oak casks.

On the nose, it has a citrus, with hints of dried fruits, woodsmoke and antique oak. On the palate, it is smooth, rich and resinous, with a strong sweet flavour of baked custard, crystalised ginger, marmalade, and sticky treacle, with a hint of woodsmoke on the finish, combined with the signature flavour of Cherry Bakewell.
