£30 million investment will help historic Aberdeenshire distillery

The GlenDronach Distillery is getting a £30 million investment to help meet global demand for its single malt whiskies. The money will be used to upgrade the distillery’s visitor experience, as well as expand production and create more jobs. This is great news for Aberdeenshire and for whisky lovers around the world!

Who are GlenDronach?

GlenDronach is a Scottish whisky distillery that was founded in 1826. The distillery is located in the Highlands region of Scotland, near the town of Huntly. GlenDronach produces a range of single malt whiskies, as well as a peated malt whisky called ‘The Hielan.”

The distillery has been owned by a number of different companies over the years, but it is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation. The distillery has recently undergone a period of expansion and modernisation, and it now has the capacity to produce around 750,000 litres of whisky per year.
