Miltonduff Distillery
About Miltonduff Distillery
Built on the site of a former 13th century Abbey’s meal mill, Miltonduff had numerous different owners throughout the rest of the 19th century and by the end of it, was one of the largest distilleries in Scotland, producing an incredible 1 million litres of spirit a year. Oddly, Miltonduff also used triple distillation, highly uncommon for Speyside/Highland distilleries.
The distillery is still active and is now owned by Pernod Ricard, with a focus on utilising the vast majority of its annual spirit production of nearly 6 million litres in Ballantine’s blended whisky.
