Bunnahabhain Distillery
About Bunnahabhain Distillery
The Bunnahabhain distillery occupies a quiet spot on Islay away from some of the main distilling strips in the south of the island. But its quiet locale is counterposed with huge Victorian warehouses which dot the shoreline, and giant stills inside its stillhouse.
The distillery has had periods of busy activity and others of quiet, dependent on its owners of the time. Today, it is owned by Distell International, which took over in 2017, and is very active once more with plans to invest more than £10 million as part of a major facelift to include a visitor’s centre in place of the old Victorian warehousing.
