The Miltonduff distillery is located in Elgin, Moray, in the Speyside region of Scotland. Robert Bain and Andrew Peary obtained a license to distill in 1824.
About Miltonduff Distillery
The distillery is still active and is now owned by Pernod Ricard. The current capacity is 5,900,000 litres and its’ water source is The Black Burn.
By the end of the 1800’s Miltonduff was one of the largest distilleries in Scotland, producing nearly 1,000,000 litres a years. Miltonduff also used triple distilling which was not common place for Speyside/Highland distilleries.
