The Laphroaig distillery is located at Port Ellen in the Islay region of Scotland. It was founded in 1815 by Alexander and Donald Johnston.

The distillery is still active and is now owned by Beam Suntory. The current capacity is 2,600,000 litres and its’ water source is The Kilbride Dam.
It is said that Prince Charles’s favourite single malt is the 15 year old Laphroaig. Laphroaig is the only whisky to receive the Royal Warrant from the Prince of Wales himself. With peaty and smoky tendencies, Laphroaig claim to produce ‘the most richly flavoured of all Scotch whiskies’.
